Talk about a luxurious and different way to enjoy green tea (or should I say the sinful way of enjoying green tea)!
With a subtle hint of green tea and a beautiful green color you will amaze your guests!
Recipe #1: Low Fat Green Tea Cheese Cake
- 1/2 cup crumbs of low-fat graham cracker
- 4 tsp butter, melted
- 1 cup fat-free, small-curd cottage cheese
- 16 oz (2 packages) Neufchatel or low-fat cream cheese
- 3/4 cup white sugar or Splenda
- 2 Tbsp flour
- 2 Tbsp green tea powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup fat-free egg substitute
- 1/4 skim milk
Preheat oven 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Mix together the melted butter and graham cracker crumbs. Press into the bottom of an 8-inch spring form pan. Beat cottage cheese until smooth. Add the cheese, sugar, flour, green tea powder and vanilla. Mix until well combined. Beat in egg substitute just until evenly incorporated. Stir in milk and turn into pan. Bake 45 minutes. Remove sides of pan, and chill.
Recipe #2: Luxurious Green Tea Cheese Cake
- 2 (8 ounce) containers fat-free cream cheese, softened
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 1 Tbsp green tea powder
- 2 Tbsp vanilla extract
- 1 (9 inch) prepared graham cracker pie crust
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). In a large bowl, beat together the cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Mix in the green tea powder, eggs, and vanilla extract until lightly and creamy. Pour into the prepared crust. Bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until the center jiggles evenly when the cake is shaken lightly. Refrigerate 1 hour before serving.
